Legend of Zelda Handheld History and Original Concept Work

January 27th, 2010 by Noah

In a continuation of Daddy’s last update, in a recent interview information was revealed about the history of  Link’s Awakening and the other portable additions to the Legend of Zelda series. If you ever wonder why Kirby and Mario characters were in Link’s Awakening then this interview will clear things up for you. *Spoiler*They didn’t exactly ask permission*Spoiler*

Below is also some concept work dating back to 1985 when the original Legend of Zelda was in production. At the time, the game did not yet have a name and Shigeru Miyamoto actually referred to it as Adventure Mario at times.

Read the entirety of the interview and see more concept work here.
