The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Boss guide

Boss: Parasitic Armored Arachnid, Gohma
Dungeon: The Great Deku Tree
How to Beat: First off, when the battle begins, wait for Gohma to get right next to you. When she stands up with her arms in the air, throw a Deku Nut. She will become temporarily stunned. Start slashing at her eye immediately! After she gets up, she will start to climb the wall and she will head towards the center of the ceiling. Z-Target her and try to keep her eye visible. When you see it turn red, shoot it with your Slingshot. Gohma will fall to the floor and again, be temporarily stunned. Start slashing at her eye again. If you did this fight perfectly, she should die right here. I can beat her under 2 minutes. If she doesn’t die, just repeat the process and you should be good. If she happens to lay her eggs, just slash at them before they hatch and they’ll die instantly.

Boss: Infernal Dinosaur, King Dodongo
Dungeon: Dodongo Cavern
How to Beat: This one is easy. At the start of the fight, all you have to do is stay in front of the boss. He will take exactly two steps and then open his mouth. When he opens his mouth, throw a bomb into it. after you throw the bomb, it’ll explode in his mouth and he will fall down. At this time, start slashing at his face. When he gets up, hurry to the corner of the room and stay against the wall. For extra security, pull out your Hylian Shield when he rolls by you. After he rolls by you, follow him. He will hit the wall and turn around. When he gets turned around, he will again take exactly two steps and then open his mouth. Just repeat what you did the last time and he should die very soon.

Boss: Bio-electric Anemone, Barinade
Dungeon: Lord Jabu-Jabu
How to Beat: To start off the battle, make sure you have the boomerang equiped. Now, run forward a little and target Barinade. Once you target, shimmy to the left or right to dodge the electricity attack and start throwing your boomerang. Now, target again and repeat. Do it one more time and Barinade will be set free from its still position. However, it will just sit there still, orbiting the Jellyfish around its body. Try to dodge the Jellyfish as well as you can and get close to Barinade. Throw your boomerang at its body. Now quickly kill all the jellyfish you can. If you don’t get them all, just repeat the last procedure until they’re all dead. Barinade will actually get up this time and start spinning around the room. All you can do here is target the boss and throw your boomerang. Hopefully it hits. If it does, kill the Jellyfish as quickly as you can. When all the jellyfish are gone, chase after Barinade and throw your boomerang at it yet again. It will fall (sorta) to the ground. Slice at it with your sword until it completely sinks into the floor. Just Z-Target and circle him to dodge the lightning attacks. After it gets back up, chase it again, throw your boomerang, and slice at it. It should die really soon.

Boss: Evil Spirit from Beyond, Phantom Ganon
Dungeon: Forest Temple
How to Beat: When you get into the boss room, it’ll seem like nothing is there. walk into the arena like room and notice the pictures. After you look at them, try going back out. Right when you get to the edge of the arena entrance, three bars will shoot up to block you from leaving. As link turns around, he sees what looks to be Ganondorf riding on his supernatural steed. The fight begins with Phantom Ganon riding into the pictures. Whatever you do, do not walk away from the three bars that appeared. If you stay there, every attack that Phantom Ganon uses will not hit you. Now, pull out your Bow and look at the paintings. Look for a vortex type thing coming out the paintings. Also, when you see it, wait till a horse is visible. When it is, shoot it with your arrows. After a few hits, Phantom Ganon loses his horse and decides to play a game of tennis with you. He will throw a single energy ball at you. Throw it back with a slice from your sword. He will most likely hit it back at you, so stay on your guard and hit it back. When he gets hit by his energy ball, he will drop to the floor and that is your chance to start slicing him with your sword. Get in as many hits as you can and repeat the process of hitting the energy balls. Phantom Ganon will dies soon enough.

Boss: Subterranean Lava Dragon, Volvagia
Dungeon: Fire Temple
How to Beat: When the fight starts, Volvagia will come out of the floor and swing it’s head around. After it stops, either use the Biggoron Sword or the Megaton Hammer to slice at his head. Either one is quite effective. Now, Volvagia will go back in and then burst out of the lava. Notice he is flying around now and shooting fire at you. Also there are rocks falling from the ceiling. To avoid all this completely, Just go to the edge of the platform and hang onto the side. You won’t get hit this way. Now, Rinse and repeat that whole process. Also note, after a couple hits, Volvagia will try to confuse you by making other lava pits erupt and then changing to another lava pit. In this case, just stay still until it surfaces and then go hit it. Volvagia should fall pretty soon and the gorons will be free of Ganon’s terror once and for all.

Boss: Giant Aquatic Amoeba, Morpha
Dungeon: Water Temple
How to Beat: When you enter the room, you’ll notice not a lot is happening. Walk forward and Navi will tell you that the water doesn’t seem right. Just jump on one of the platforms and it’ll trigger the boss fight. Morpha is a really easy boss. =p Even though the temple was HELL!!! Jump off the platform and get to a corner. You’ll be just out of his reach in a corner. Anyways, Wait for him to slam at the ground. Now, Z-Target the Core and hookshot it. Now slash as fast as you can. If you’re lucky, after one hit, it’ll jump back in front of you so you can get another hit. Don’t count on it though. Normally, you’ll only get one hit. Now, Get back in the corner and repeat. Morpha is amazingly easy if you have the Biggoron Sword.

Boss: Phantom Shadow Beast, Bongo Bongo
Dungeon: Shadow Temple
How to Beat: To beat Bongo Bongo, you have to use the Lens of Truth. When you have a clear sight of him, shoot his hands with your arrows. Be careful, though. Sometimes he tries to take swings at you. When both his hands are down, shoot his eye. He will be temporarily stunned. Go up to the eye and start hitting it with your sword. Repeat that whole process and Bongo Bongo should be dead after a couple well placed hits.

Boss: Sorceress Sisters, Twinrova
Dungeon: Spirit Temple
How to Beat: Now, with this fight, you’ll have to time your movements and your aiming with your Mirror Shield. The battle starts out with one of the Sisters using either an Ice attack or a fire attack. Just pull out your Mirror Shield and let it hit you. Now, notice your shield is charging up. Make sure you don’t miss their blast also… If you do, it will create either a fire circle where you’ll gradually lose health if you are on it or it’ll create cold air where you’ll freeze and gradually lose health. Now, remember what sister gave you your first charge. You’ll have to charge your shield with that element two more times. For example If it was fire, then keep reflecting the fire. If they’re about to use ice, just dodge and wait till they start using fire again. Now, when your shield is completely charged after three beams, target the sister of the opposite element. Just remember, Fire hurts Ice and Ice hurts Fire. After a few beam attacks, they’ll merge into one intity that looks suprisingly familiar. This is the same concept as before. Don’t let her size intimidate you. All you do is charge your shield, dodge when neccisary, and then release the beam out of your shield. Now, when she falls, go up to her and hit her with your sword. Now repeat this process a couple more times. She will dies soon and you’ll see a scene where the two sisters are argueing with each other. Pretty comedic ending to their lives. =]

Boss: Great King Of Evil, Ganondorf
Dungeon: Ganon’s Tower
How to Beat: Ganondorf is really simple. If you do this fight right, you can beat him in under five minutes. Basically, it’s the same fight as Phantom Ganondorf except this time, he doesn’t fly all around the room. He does float, however. Just use the same tactics you used to kill Phantom Ganondorf. Now, when you hit him with his orb, get out your Light Arrows and shoot him. He will fall to the floor. Now is your chance to go hit him. Try to get in as many hits as possible and after every set of hits jump back to the outer platforms and get into a corner. Ganondorf will slam on the ground which will make some of the darker platforms fall to the bottom floor. Make sure you don’t fall off. You’ll have to climb all the way back up if you do. Now, sometimes, Ganondorf will use a dark orb attack thing where he shoots multiple blasts at you all at once. Just charge your sword and when he throws them, let your spin attack deflect them all. Now, just repeat until he’s defeated.

Boss: Ganon
Dungeon: Ganon’s Tower (Ruins)
How to Beat: There are multiple ways to beat this boss but I will tell you the way I beat him. It’s actually fairly simple. When the battle starts, make sure you have your Biggoron Sword equipped. (The Master Sword can’t be used during the first part of this fight.) Now, I run right up to him and roll in between his legs and swing my sword at his tail. When you do that, he spins around and tries to hit you, so try and get a good view of him. Dodge his attack and roll in between his legs again and hit his tail. After a couple times of doing this, Ganon will fall and the fire keeping the Master Sword from you will be down. Go grab the sword and then run back into the battle field. Make sure your Biggoron Sword is still equipped. It does more damage. Now, just do the same thing as before and sooner or later, Zelda will transmit all her power into your sword and bind Ganon to the ground. Now, deliver the final blow to Ganon and enjoy the ending. You deserved it.
