Skyward Sword Enemies
Bokoblins: Using a new graphical style and design than in previous Zelda titles, the Bokoblins return once more in Skyward Sword. They yield blunt objects including swords in which Link must attack in a specific direction to inflict damage.
Deku Babas: While in appearance they are similar to past Zelda titles, there is a new method of combat needed to defeat this enemy. Instead of simply swinging Link’s sword to stun them and then slashing their stem, Link must attack vertically or horizontally along the groove of the Deku Baba’s mouth. There are multiple colors of these, each with a different level of difficulty.
Toadpoli: In Skyward Sword the Toadpoli has been seen in what can be assumed to be the fire dungeon.
Chuchu: Just like its other incarnations, the Chuchus are jelly like enemies. So far the red variant is confirmed. Typically they are defeated by slashing them with the sword, breaking them into multiple and smaller forms which are defeated the same way.
Keese: Previous Zelda titles featured normal, fire and ice type Keeses. Thus far the normal type have been shown to making a reappearance in Skyward Sword, though with a fire level already demoed, it can be expected all forms will make a return. As usual, they fly at Link attacking him, and can be defeated quite easily with the sword.
Octorok: While Octoroks have typically been a marine enemy in the 3-d Zelda titles, they are now advancing towards the land to combat Link. Hiding in bushes they rise up to project rocks at Link, similar to the way Dekus had in previous Zelda titles. Using the nunchuck, Link can deflect the rocks back at them.
Skulltula/Walltula: Acting the same as they have since first appearing in 3-d form on Ocarina of Time, they locate themselves on vines preventing Link from climbing up unless first defeated with a slingshot or bow and arrow.
Stalfos: In Skyward Sword the Stalfos take on a similar form as they have in recent Zelda titles. Yielding a sword and shield they attack Link, and are defeated through sword play. In the past a bomb had to be placed on the pile of bones afterward to ensure its defeat.
Door Guardian (?): This new enemy to the series allows Nintendo to show off the new sword controls using the Wii-motion plus. The eye on the door will follow the tip of the sword, meaning Link must distract and confuse the eye by rotating the sword, causing it to get dizzy, allowing him to approach and slash the eye.
