Pumpkin Landing Pumpkin Harvest

If you talk to the owner of the Pumpkin Landing Pub then he will assign you with some tasks to do. However, you cannot do all of these tasks at once so you will have to complete one task and come back later.

This guide will walk you through the tasks that the owner will need you to complete. Doing so will enable you to finish the Pumpkin Landing Sidequest

Pumpkin Landing Pumpkin Harvest Quest

The first thing you will need to do is to roll into the rafters to knock the piece of heart down to the floor. The owner of the bar will get angry at you and inquire on why you would do such a thing.  Talk to him and he will begin to assign you tasks.

Pumpkin Landing Task 1

For the first task you will need to get yourself an empty bottle. If you do not have one yet you can follow our Skyward Sword Bottle Locations guide. The bar owner will fill your bottle with some Hot Pumpkin Soup for you to deliver to Knight Commander Eagus.

Commander Eagus can be located in the Sparring Hall on Skyloft so you will need to fly there.

If you can fly and deliver his soup in less than 5 minutes then the task will be completed by returning to the Lumpy Pumpkin.

Pumpkin Harvest Task 2

The owner of the Lumpy Pumpkin will have another task for you to complete after you finish the Earth Temple. So return to the bar and you will be able to go out back and meet Kina in the patch.

For this task you will have to carry a stack of pumpkins to their shed. This task can be quite challenging if you do not pay attention to what you are doing. The pumpkins will easily lose their balance so you will need to slowly walk until the pumpkins begin to sway. At this point stand still and gently tap the analog stick in the right direction to balance them. If you slowly move, stop, balance, and repeat you should be fine.

Lumpy Pumpkin Task 3

After you have moved the pumpkins to the shed you can go back and talk tyo the bar owner again. He will ask Link to comeback at night. So go ahead and sleep on the first floor bed and wait until night.  One you have successfully stored the load in the shed, head back and talk with the sotre owner again. He will ask that you come back at night time, so sleep in the bed on the first floor until night.

Once you wake up, talk to the owner again and he will tell you to play your harp with his daughter. Once this begins you must simply play the harp to the rhythm to the bar’s customers. When the customers are not swaying their arms you can play however you like. If you successfully complete this then Link will get another heart piece.

I can beat any boss. Why has it taken me 20 tries to STILL NOT BEAT THIS STUPID PART.
How do you play with Kina the right way? ive gone quick with each wave of hands, ive gone at a slow tempo swinging at each beat, but i keep failing.
And tips for the WORST PART IN ANY VIDEOGAME EVER CREATED?
Id really hate to smash a 50 dollar game and a collectors wiimote justy cause i hate a harp.

  3. JiPrime says:

When the hands aren't waving, DO NOT DO FREESTYLE.
Keep with the regular tempo, and you'll finish it.
But it still doesn't feel satisfying after finishing it.
It is indeed, the worst part of this game.

  4. bacondevil says:

Darth – I feel your pain, hated this. You go slowly swinging in the direction of the people swaying their body, their hands are beating in double time. I messed up all of their quick little body movements and I still made it. Pain in the ass.

Do not make sweeping movements with your whole arm, I found it worked better if I made "sweeping movements" while trying to kind of pivot the wiimote on the bottom, so you are focusing on swinging the top of the wiimote instead of your whole arm.

  5. Navi says:

This quest makes me wanna kill someone :) Still not done with harp part after 1 hour.

  6. Will says:

bacondevil is right. Their hands go in double time, so however fast you're trying, slow down to half the speed and you'll make it. Also don't attempt their stupidly random movements and just go normal on the "freestyle". You'll just pass.

  7. harith says:

the last harp part of this quest is insanly hard sens of the delay you get with the wii mote.

i was able to do this once i turned of the sound and just looked at there waveing, and a tip is that during normal tempo they will shake there hands 2 times then move, i found antipateing this and just doing the half steps on reflex made it work for me, and this has noting to do with tempo just knowning when they move and coping with the latenacy of the wii mote

  8. Tabby says:

my son and husband had problems doing the harp. After several times of watching them do it and not able to complete the challenge, I decided to take over. I got it done the first time. All you have to do is pay close attention to the customer. It was real easy for me. Maybe it just takes a woman to get the job done right the first time….LOL!!!!

    • Vick says:

That's funny, my husband and son had the same problem, it also took me one try to get it right. Must be a girl thing….hahaha

  9. Wyatt says:

I realized I was doing it with the wrong approach. After looking at the video it is still hard but I did it in like three tries. Definitely the hardest part of the game for me so far hahhaha.

  10. ikobal says:

yesss, after 15 fails I turned off the sound, and it worked. Thanks

  11. dhil doe says:

pro tip: failed this multiple times, won first try when drunk.

  12. Zeldafreak says:

I failed like a million times and when I turned the volume off I got it on my first try,I agree with harith and ikobal!it really helps!!

  13. TURKEY says:

Wow, I've never had any problems with the harp portion of this quest… What the hell are you people doing wrong?

  14. WiimoteBeGiants says:

The thing is, I actually AM doing it exactly as in the video. It still fails. Probably the stupidest design decision on any Zelda game, ever.

  15. WiimoteBeGiants says:

Probably because I don't have the magic Wiimote that actually responds to the stupid swinging motion.

  16. Dman says:

tried all these tips and still not working it is so stupid

  17. Dman says:

    seriously wtf

  18. Dman says:

finally got it! Try making up abeat and turn down the volume. I used 1,2 1,2.

  19. Susie says:

I'm female and I still can't get it! What drives me crazy is there is no way to know if you got ANY of it right. I will try it again with the sound off. Thanks.

  20. Eric says:

hm i have had a really hard time with this. i’ll try some of these tips then see what happens (i hate you pumm…) mk i tried it and failed then i tried the “1,2 1,2″ tip and YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!!! ignore those f-ing customers and do the 1,2 1,2 each pause on the harp say, 1,2 1,2 count those numbers and you’ll be just fine!

  21. Francis says:

i hate this part, tried all different approaches.

  22. Deb says:

Turned the volume off, went with a steady one, two beat as was suggested and beat it. Now I don't have to choke the Lumpy Pumpkin guy and his daughter to death with my harp. It was getting close. Thanks.
